In this video I show you what I did to allocate more memory to Minecraft. It worked for me, but I cannot guarantee it works for you as well. I run on Windows 7 64bit and use java 64bit as well. Copy this AFTER watching the video: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- javaw -Xmx8192m -Xms4096m -jar "I:\Users\Docm77\Desktop\Minecraft.exe" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Make sure to edit the command for your situation as explained in the video! IF you want to use for example 1.5 GB: 1024 + 512 = 1536...... Please make sure to check the comments. Many of your questions have been already answered there! Thanks a lot for all your help in the comments guys! Much appreciated;-) Edit: For all people having issues with "Could not create the Java virtual machine": Setting up java classpath: - From the Start Menu, right-click My Computer and click Properties. - In the Advanced section, click the Environment Variables button. - Finally, in the Environment Variables window, highlight the Path variable in the Systems Variable section and click the Edit button. - Navigate to the end of the field's content, add a semicolon (this is a path separator) and add your java bin folder path with apostrophes (eg: "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_10\bin") - If you click OK, you should be fine. If not maybe a restart is required. Outro: www.youtube ...
